ONE of the city's landmark pubs has been placed in receivership but will continue trading in a bid for survival.
What can be done to save the Courthouse?
Glen Miller of BRI Ferrier was appointed receiver for the Courthouse Hotel on Monday.
He said the historic venue, on Abbott St, would remain open in an attempt to trade it out of a yet-to-be-determined debt.
"Our intention is to trade as normal and offer the same services," Mr Miller said.
"It’s been an icon of the CBD for several years now. We’re trying to build up business and it’s probably the right time of the year, with the tourism season starting.
"The hotel has a good following and we hope to preserve that."
